The event that is on every tennis fans’ calendar is Wimbledon. Every year the tournament draws capacity crowds of people from around the world, hoping that perhaps Andy Murray will end decades of hurt for British tennis players or perhaps to see the next classic match between Federer and Nadal. Wimbledon is world renowned as the best lawn tennis tournament on the planet and the draw of even just sitting on Murray Mound with a picnic of strawberries and cream is enough to pull hundreds of extra people to the stadia who may not even have tickets to the match.

Obviously, if you have flown over to Britain then you are unlikely to have a vehicle to drive and, as such, will be relying on public transport. However, this is unnecessary when there is a much better option in Wimbledon! Hiring a car will make any attempts to watch the tennis much more straightforward. You will not have to negotiate the tricky train routes to get back to a hotel in the dark and you won’t have to try and compete with the thousands of others who are trying to get a taxi away from the stadium. You can just wander out of the stadium and leap in the car which means you’ll be on the road long before any of the people who are using the buses and trains. You also have the added advantage of being able to use the car to take you wherever you want to go after the event – it’s by far the better option.
