Few small towns are as well known by a single two-week event as Wimbledon. Wimbledon is most noted for the annual tennis tournament that is held in town. But the area also has been a growing and developing London location that meets the expectations of a tennis town. That is the real estate of Wimbledon is some of the most expensive in London, as the area is growing with housing, restaurants, shopping, and pubs. It even has a new theatre featuring West End quality productions. Essentially, Wimbledon is becoming a very modern and hip area with the successful looking to establish homes there.

But being in an outlying area of London, one would still like to get back into central London. This is where one would look for a Wimbledon to Paddington Station route using public transportation. With Paddington Station being solidly in central London, one can maneuver to other destinations from there. Also, Paddington Station can be a welcoming station with left luggage availability and a number of eateries within. It helps that Paddington serves as both a railway station and an underground station.

The best route is the tube that runs from Wimbledon to Paddington and takes only thirty minutes. The underground uses the District Line for this trip and it runs about every twenty minutes. This trip does run through zones one, two , and three, so the price can run £2-9 depending. This trip is an exciting feat as the tube provides transport on this route quickly and cheaply. Having this major route is a real plus for Wimbledon.
