Contrary to popular belief, there is a lot more to do in Wimbledon than just go to see the tennis championships. Even if you are there for the tennis matches, you may tire very quickly of the atmosphere and long for something more. Luckily, Wimbledon has a LOT more to offer.
Wimbledon hosts a plethora of events that keep people coming back year round for many things non tennis related. For instance, each year the two main boroughs of England host a fireworks bonfire on the fifth of November to celebrate Guy Fawkes and the infamous tale of him trying to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Wimbledon is also home to a very diverse art population, with plays and art events held almost every month. Plays such as Aladdin and Goldilocks and the Three Bears are just two of the plays currently being performed at the time of writing.
