I’m Looking Forward to Moving Back to Wimbledon for Awhile

When I looked at the calendar this morning, I realized that the end of this semester for university is right around the corner. The crazy thing about realizing that this semester is winding down to end is knowing that once it does, I will have six semesters successfully completed, which means that I will be over halfway done with my time at university. Although I have been seen them over the course of the last year, I will be spending my summer living with my parents. Even though you may think that living with your parents again after having so much freedom sounds terrible, it’s not bad at all when you know it’s only temporary.

The only thing standing in between me and my time back home is the final examinations that so many people dread. Luckily, I have been a very attentive student this semester, and while I know I will be doing a lot of studying between now and the end of the semester, I am confident that I will perform well on all of my final examinations. Since I am so confident, I have already set up a summer reward for myself to celebrate my success this semester. In conjunction with my buddy, after moving back to Wimbledon, the two of us will be picking up a Wimbledon car hire that is reserved in my name. Having the Wimbledon car hire will give us the ability to take a road trip and kick off the summer in a fun way. Although it has been a year since we have seen each other, the two of us have been friends since we were little kids, so I know we are going to have a great road trip together.

I’m Not Even Worried About the Flu Virus from Mexico

Despite the fact that there have been plenty of other significant events taking place throughout the world during the last couple of weeks, it seems like the news media wants to focus all of their attention on the H1N1 flu virus. Once people started to realize that swine flu was killing people throughout Mexico, they started to get much more worried about the potential implications of this virus spreading. Although it is true that the H1N1 virus has continued its spread across the world, it is not causing the same level of fatalities that it initially did in Mexico. The reason that I am bringing up this fact is that while I could understand widespread worry if this flu virus was killing a significant amount of people, I don’t understand the ongoing worries at this point. In spite of the fact that I think this continued worrying is unjustified, countries throughout the world are continuing to respond in a fairly serious manner.

Regardless of the fact that the swine flu worries continue, I am not going to let them interfere with my summer travel plans. I already planned on taking a trip to London in the middle of the summer, and I’m not going to let this swine flu issue deter me from visiting London (which is a place I have wanted to go for awhile now). Given the fact that I have reserved a Wimbledon car hire, hotel room and flight, I can’t even imagine what a pain it would be to change all of those reservations at this point. The one reason that I don’t think I will actually have to worry about canceling my trip is because by the time it actually arrives, I bet the news media will have something new to make people worry about more than swine flu!
